Join Shopify's Storefront team to build the commerce infrastructure powering millions of merchants worldwide. You will design and ship features that touch billions of transactions every year, working across a modern Ruby on Rails + React stack with GraphQL APIs.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain core storefront APIs used by millions of merchants
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and data teams
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence on the team
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
• Contribute to architectural decisions that shape the future of commerce

What you'll need

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in Ruby or a comparable backend language
• Experience with React and TypeScript on the frontend
• Comfort with distributed systems and high-throughput services
• Track record of owning large technical projects end-to-end
