Job Overview

Build the digital backbone of Sun Life's insurance and wealth products used by millions of Canadians. You will develop secure, high-availability microservices in Java and Spring Boot, deployed on AWS, that power online client portals and advisor tools.

What you'll do

Design and implement microservices for Sun Life's digital client portal
Ensure application security, reliability, and scalability
Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to technical standards
Work in an agile squad with product owners and QA engineers
Support production systems and participate in on-call rotation

What you'll need

4+ years of backend development experience
Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
Experience building RESTful APIs in a microservices architecture
Knowledge of cloud deployment on AWS
Understanding of security best practices for financial services applications
