Job Overview

Build the digital backbone of Sun Life's insurance and wealth products used by millions of Canadians. You will develop secure, high-availability microservices in Java and Spring Boot, deployed on AWS, that power online client portals and advisor tools.

What you'll do

• Design and implement microservices for Sun Life's digital client portal
• Ensure application security, reliability, and scalability
• Participate in architecture reviews and contribute to technical standards
• Work in an agile squad with product owners and QA engineers
• Support production systems and participate in on-call rotation

What you'll need

• 4+ years of backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
• Experience building RESTful APIs in a microservices architecture
• Knowledge of cloud deployment on AWS
• Understanding of security best practices for financial services applications
