What you'll do
- Develop and maintain firmware for quantum systems
- Design firmware for quantum timing and quantum-secure communications platforms
- Ensure performance, reliability, and environmental resilience of embedded systems
- Integrate firmware with hardware components
- Debug and troubleshoot firmware issues
- Collaborate with hardware and systems engineering teams
- Conduct code reviews and ensure quality standards
- Document firmware architecture and implementation
What you'll need
- Experience with embedded firmware development
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Understanding of real-time systems
- Hardware integration experience
- Knowledge of quantum systems or timing systems preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
- On-site work in Ottawa, ON required
