Job Overview
Under the direction of the Panel Shop Manager, the Panel Assembler uses schematics to wire panels, control boxes, J-Boxes, PLC’s, HMI’s and various other electrical components. The Panel Assembler will fabricate cut-outs in enclosures for various electrical hardware components. The use of different electrical and pneumatic hand tools is necessary to complete day-to-day tasks as is basic mechanical ability with other hand tools. What you'll do
- Wire panels using schematics
- Assemble control boxes and J-Boxes
- Install PLCs and HMIs
- Wire various electrical components
- Fabricate cut-outs in enclosures for electrical hardware
- Use electrical and pneumatic hand tools for daily tasks
- Apply basic mechanical skills with hand tools
