Shopify Payments processes billions of dollars in transactions annually. As a Data Scientist on the Payments Intelligence team, you will build models that detect fraud, optimize approval rates, and surface insights that drive billions in incremental merchant revenue.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain fraud detection and risk scoring models
- Design and analyse A/B experiments to improve payment approval rates
- Partner with engineering to productionise ML pipelines
- Develop dashboards and reports for executive stakeholders
- Explore new data sources to drive merchant revenue insights
What you'll need
- 3+ years of experience in data science or machine learning
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience building and deploying production ML models
- Knowledge of statistical methods and experimental design
- Ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders
